I must say that the months of November and December were incredibly busy with school commitments and extra rugby training for the boys, planning and writing tours for 2019 and getting to grips with our new website.
In mid-December my parents came to visit from Sweden which turned out to be a lovely lead-up to Christmas. It was a good reason to stop stressing, to sit down, enjoy each other company and Christmas preparations. A lot of their visit was taken up by spending time at the rugby club: watching the boys playing rugby, having lunch with Tim’s Dad at the bistro, watching and having a drink at a 1st team game — our new club house facilities are certainly getting used!
Our girls came home from University for their Christmas break, Alice after a six hour train journey from Liverpool and Lily on an hours flight from Cornwall. All of a sudden the house was full of noise and young people and it was lovely. Tim and I had time to meet friends, take the dog for long walks at the coast and to have cosy afternoons on the sofa watching films. Tim has enjoyed baking, cooking and feeding his family, both family favourites and new exciting recipes. We are celebrating and seeing in the New Year tonight at a black tie event at… you guessed it — the rugby club!
The whole of the Ray family wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
