The Norfolk Show and student celebrations

Lily and I had a wonderful day out at the Norfolk Show. It is one of this country’s biggest traditional agricultural shows, complete with Best-in-Shows’ for cattle, sheep, fowl, flowers and vegetables – and if you want a new combine harvester, this is the place to come! It was a hot day and we watched very clever gun dogs work and fetch, the amazing RAF Falcons parachute display team and we saw some lovely show gardens. Above is the garden I voted for as the public’s favourite – what do you think? One of Lily’s highlights was that she has found her favourite animal – goats!

Lily has now finished her exams and Charles has only a few more to go. The school puts on quite big and prom-like dinners for the students and it’s a nice way to celebrate after all the hard work. Lily and I also celebrated with a gig in London at Alexandra Palace with one of her favourite bands Haim. To think that she is almost leaving home is a bit surreal!
