10K race, pizza party and our new web site

On one of the hottest days of the year, so far, Charles and I ran our first 10K race. It was a local event, passing through farmland and some cooler woods. Most participants were serious club-runners and only a few were amateurs like Charles and I. Charles, bless him, managed to finish at his target time, just under the hour, whilst I was just happy to make it round the course. And we are proud to have fundraised for the British Heart Foundation at the same time.

Edward turned 14 years-old in mid-July and at the same time finished his summer term. He invited some friends, and a few more turned up, for pizzas in our outdoor wood-fired oven and a sleep-over in tents. We built the oven last year and we are getting used to the temperatures and cooking times. The pizzas are really delicious, as long as you don’t mind a few burnt bits and a tiny bit of ash!

Ever since the tour season finished we have been working hard on our new website and the tour programme for next year. We are proud to announce that the new website is ready to view and a limited number of tours for next year are ready to book. We believe the new website shows our garden tours, and the way we run them, in a much more visual way. We hope you like it and find it easy to navigate, please feel free to comment below or drop us an email.

In a few days we will be leaving for our three-week holiday break, but we will be posting on Instagram and Facebook and we’ll see you in September, when we will be back in the office and adding new tours and news to the web site!
